MY FAVORITE TEAM

               My personal favorite team in the IPL are the Mumbai Indians because they play extremely well and they have also got some of the finest overseas cricketers, and they also give more opportunities to more younger players and also because they have won the Champions League T20 tournament by playing some brilliant cricket and have won the Indian Premier League this year and i hope that they will carry on this brilliant form forward in the years to come.

Teams Performances 

The inaugural T20 edition of the IPL was won by the Rajasthan Royals in the year 2008  as their playing style was quiet appreciable . In the next year that is 2009 the trophy was taken over by the Deccan Chargers now named as the Sunrisers Hyderabad then later on Chennai Super Kings took over the trophy for a couple of years  that is for the year 2010-2011 through their consistent run rate and performance. In the year 2012 the trophy was won by the Kolkatta Knight Riders after having a bad performances in their past years ,now they had something to cheer about  and quiet confident about their future performance. After struggling for 5 years in the tournament and bidding high for auction of  players in the IPL Mumbai Indians finally got the breakthrough in the year 2013 as they the were crowned the champions of India and later on in the same year they also won the Champions League , and the other teams such as the Delhi , Punjab and Bangalore showed a great performance through out the years but had nothing

 to cheer about and fianlly in the recent concluded IPL  the winners of the 2015 is Mumbai Indians. they also had won a IPL trophy in past in year 2013.

In this blog which speaks about the IPL -8 India Ka Tyohaar , i would like to speak about my favorite team Royal Challengers Bangalore. This team is considered to be one of the strongest team with a powerful batting line -up and also known for their bowling abilities to strike early with wicket taking deliveries and taking wickets for their team. The team is currently captained by Virat Kohli and coached by Daniel Vettori the former captain of New Zealand .

           

This team hails from Karnataka state and its home ground is M.Chinnaswamy Stadium and the team is owned by Vijay Mallya who has the second highest bid for IPL team after Mukesh Ambani.The theme song of the RCB was Jeetenge Hum Shaan Se.  




In this season of IPL 8 RCB retained the services of Virat kohli, Chris Gayle , AB de Villers , Ashok Dinda, Mitchel Starc . They also bought Dinesh Karthik, Darren Sammy, Sarfraz Khan, David Weise for 10.5 crores from the IPL player auction .However in this edition the RCB qualified for the playoffs and on May 20th they defeated the Rajasthan Royals in  the eliminator but however they lost to Chennai Super Kings in the qualifier 2.However RCB never won the IPL trophy till date but became the runners up twice in the year 2009 and 2011 losing to Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super Kings respectively. 

As of 2015,Adidas manufacturers the kits for the team and Huawei continues to be the main sponsorer of team .The stadium of RCB is often called as a sea of red as the fans turn out in large numbers wearing their RCB outfits which are Red in color .The fans of RCB are well are known for their chants of RCB-RCB and the co-ordianaated Mexican Wave.

I am a die hard supporter of the RCB and i really want to see them lifting up the trophy in the upcoming seasons of the IPL . I Love RCB .!!!!!!!

IPL - INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

In this blog which speaks about the IPL 8 ,i would like to speak about the Indian Premier League which was inaugurated in the year  2008 , sponsored by DLF where they paid $50 million for 5 years sponsorship.Since 2013 Pepsi took over the contract for the next 5 years  and the rights for broadcasting were taken over by Sony .

It was an enormous success because it was largely viewed as the richest tournament in the world cricket, which is played in the Indian summer . The IPL is watched across the world and in 2010 it made history by becoming the first sporting event to broadcast live on YouTube

There were altogether 8 teams which participated in the tournament till date that is from 2008-2015  namely the Chennai Super Kings, Kings Eleven Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals , Sunrisers Hyderabad , Mumbai Indians , Delhi  Daredevils  and a couple of teams such as the Kochi Tuskers Kerala and the Pune Warriors India were defuncted from the tournament due to some financial means and polices. 

IPL 2015 all in all was one of the most entertaining T20 tournaments by far. Reasons as to why i would state this is because the majority of matches have more or less gone down to the wire with very few lop sided matches. Also the teams played their part in terms of swashbuckling boundary hitting with the 256 scored by RCB being the highlight. Even the low scoring matches have been thoroughly entertaining. There has also been the promise of many emerging young players such as Hardik Pandya (MI), Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB), Pawan Negi (CSK) etc. Surprisingly enough, the number of outstanding catches taken were a joy to watch. One needs to applaud the efforts put in by the MI team for winning the trophy despite being at the bottom in the early stages of the tournament. All in all I would say this IPL has really been a festival to enjoy. Looking forward to the same next year. 

Kolkata Knight Riders - My favvvvvv team!!!

The team I support in the IPL is a two time winner of the competition. Kolkata Knight Riders is Co owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. The captain is Gautam Gambhir and the team is coached by former Australian cricketer, Trevor Bayliss.

These are the eight captains representing the teams which participated in the recently concluded Indian Premier League and the prestigious trophy they all are playing for.
