3. To discuss the date for the next meeting as well as the agenda for the meeting.
4. To decide on what steps to be taken to project our blog to more masses of people.

 RISING STARS OF IPL 8

In this blog which speaks about IPL 8, i would like to speak about the youngsters who had a brilliant IPL season with some tremendous batting as well as  bowling performance.Some of the youngsters include names such as 

1. Anureet Singh  (KX1P)
    Anureet Singh is a name that we might have never heard few  years back, before IPL has started. Anureet
    Singh is a player who was born on March 2,1988 and he plays for the Kings X1 Punjab. This youngster 
    has proved his worth for the team as well as the captain with some of his brilliant performances. The 
    youngster has grabbed his opportunity with both hands, and has never let down his team. He is one of the 
    top and leading wicket taker for the Kings X1 Punjab, one of the strong bowling pillars of his team. 
    Mitchell Johnson who is a teammate also gave him tips on how to increse his speed. Although his team 
    did not qualify in this years edition of the IPL Anureet Singh has won the hearts of not only all the Punjabis
    but of all Indians.



2.  Axar Patel (KX1P)
     Axar Patel who plays for the Kings X1 Punjab, has surprised a quite alot of people with his outstanding 
     performance with the bowl. He has also won hearts of million of people across India. Axar Patel became 
     part of the IPL when he was signed by the Mumbai Indians in the year 2013 however his journey with the
     Mumbai Indians did not start off very well as he spent the most of his time on the bench.Later on in the 
     year 2014 he was selected by the Kings X1 Punjab where in he started getting the regular starts and his 
     performance also was really up to the mark as a result of which he was selected by the Indian team due 
     to his brilliant performance in the IPL. This young lad is even compared to Indian all rounder Sir Ravindra
     Jadeja for his performance.



3.  Deepak Hooda (RR)
     Deepak Hooda another Indian youngster has also proved his worthiness to the Rajasthan Royals. He is 
     a great asset to the team with some of his beautiful batting displays. Last year Deepak Hooda was a part 
     of the Indian U-19 world cup squad.In the 6th match of the IPL this year against the Delhi Daredevils,
     Hooda played a terrific role helping his team to chase down the massive total posted by the Delhi 
     Daredevils on the scoreboard and thus leading his team to the finishing line. Hooda who is already getting
     famous as the Indian 'Maxwell' for his powerful and accurate shots.He believes that success comes with 
     accuracy whether its any department that is bat or bowl.



4.  Hardik Pandya (MI)
     A unique and a fearless all-rounder, Hardik Pandya is yet another gem to the Indian cricket league.The 
     promising youngster who plays for the Mumbai Indians has stunned quite a lot of people across Indian, 
     with his mind  blowing performance. He has the ability of striking the bowl very  hard and clearing the 
     ropes with ease. He started getting recognised for his brilliant knock against the Kolkata Knight Riders
     slamming 61 runs off just 30 balls and leading his team to victory. Pandya is known as the 'Hurricane' 
     for his most destructive innings,against any giant team or bowling attack. He is a man for the future 
     and constantly improving his chances into the future Indian squad. He is one of the most searched player
     this year.



5.  Sarfaraz Khan
     The youngest player in the IPL history,the story of Indian U-19 prodigy Sarfaraz Khan. In his IPL debut
     he made an unbeaten 45 off just 21 balls against the Rajasthan Royals. The young lad is also a quite 
     fascinating player with a wide range of shots, he played a brilliant knock against the Rajasthan Royals 
     when the batting order had collapsed he helped his team to post a score of 200 however rains did play 
     a spoilsport in the match as a result of which he started to get regular starts of his team. He won the 
     hearts of many Royal Challengers Fans with his brilliant batting performance the only thing he has to work
     on is his fitness level, and he also has the ability to make any bowler sweat around the world with his 
     batting display. Sarfaraz's hunger for runs has always set him apart from other players from this league.

In this years edition of the IPL season 8 bowlers faced a very hard time bowling deliveries as they were hit all over the park by the mighty batsman ,however their were few bowlers who bowled really very well which includes 

1] DWAYNE BRAVO - Highest Wicket Taker [ Purple Cap ]


    Dwayne Bravo brings the Caribbean swagger in the Chennai Super Kings camp.His batting       performance as well as his bowling performance makes him a good and a worthy all- 
    rounder and he is considered as an asset to any team.  In this years edition of the IPL Bravo 
    bagged the purple cap as he became the player to take the most wickets in the tournament
    he altogether took 26 wickets from 17 matches he played , and as a result of which he 
    ensured that his team made it to the playoffs, however later on loosing to the Mumbai Indians.



 2] ASHISH NEHRA  - Best Bowling Figures 
     

     Ashish Nehra another member of the Chennai Super Kings bagged an award for bowling 
     the best bowling figures in the tournament which is very difficult for the bowler to get 
     nowadays because the modern format is more of a batsmans game. He took 4 wickets 
     by leaking only 10 runs. Ashish Nehras form has been plagued by injuries however  in 
     this season he was in very good form maintaining a good length and line and working out 
     on his pace. 



 3]  MOISES HENRIQUES - Best Averages 


      A talented all-rounder who has made a mark in the Australian T20 has also made a huge 
      mark in the Indian Premier League. In the auction held this year he was bought by the 
      Sunrisers Hyderabad and he turned out to be a worthy all-rounder as he played some 
      great knocks, and he also was quite good with the ball. In this years edition of the IPL he 
      holds a record for maintaining the best average in the tournament which is of 14.36.




 4]  JAYANT YADAV - Best Economy Rates 

      A young multi-talented player who was bought by the Delhi Daredevils in this years auction 
      has surprised quite alot of people with his performance with the bowl. He is quite a 
      clinical off -spinner who has the ability of picking wickets at quick intervals. However in this 
      years edition of the IPL he holds the record for bowling the overs with  best economy rates 
      in the tournament. Although his franchise did not make it to the play - offs i am sure he will
      be an asset for the team in the next years IPL.

In this edition of the IPL season 8 there were quite a lot of surprises with some of the brilliant performances by the players. Some of these performances included names like ,

1] DAVID WARNER - Highest Run Scorer [ Orange Cap ] 



    David Warner the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad bagged the prestigious orange cap of     IPL 2015 as he became the highest run scorer of IPL 8 despite his team not making it to the       playoffs. The aggressive left handed batsmen played some mind blowing knocks which was       amazing to watch .He scored 562 runs in 14 innings on a consistent basis thus making him 
    a worthy winner of the orange cap.



 2] CHRIS GAYLE - Maximum Sixes


     Chris Gayle bagged an award in the IPL season 8 for hitting the maximum sixes in  
      tournament as compared to another player. He has hit a maximum of 38 sixes in the                     tournament.The big man from the Caribbean was at his best and he has single - handedly           won matches for his franchise that is the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The man from the           West Indies is also a good catcher and a handy off-spinner which is a very good asset                 to any team he plays.





  3] AB de VILLIERS - Highest Individual Score



      Another man from the Royal Challengers Bangalore  who was really fun watching was the             South African captain AB de Villers. A delightfully brutual batsman who was in a very good          form from the start of the season and who played a very good hand in helping the Royal             Challengers Bangalore qualify for the playoffs won the award for scoring the highest                      individual score in the IPL which was a score of 159 from 59 deliveries against the Mumbai        Indians.

   4] ANDRE RUSSEL- Highest Strike Rate



       Andre Russel become another cricketer from the Caribbean to win an award for maintain a        a good and  a healthy strike rate of 192.89.His performances with the bat was really 
       really amazing to watch the way he would strike the ball.He was also a valuable asset to the 
       Kolkata Knight Riders team although his team did not make it to the playoffs, but he was 
       fun to watch.

INTERESTING FACTS OF IPL 8 !!

Here are some interesting facts about Ipl 2015 :
  • Deepak Hooda has made loss of around 2.5 lakh rupees to his own team RR. 44 kookaburra balls were lost during IPL practice by him.

  • Sarfaraz Khan was 10 years old and was in his 4th standard when ‪IPL‬ began. Now (29/04/2015) he's playing for ‪RCB‬ alongside Gayle, ABD, Kohli etc


  • Manish Pandey and Robin Uthappa

  • 8 IPL seasons
  • 4 Different Teams
  • But they both have been in the same team all 8 seasons. 
2008: MI
2009 & 2010: RCB
2011 to  2013: PWI

Seven seasons! 
Chennai Super Kings have been in the payoffs for all the seasons! 

But that's not the amazing fact!

CSK is the only team that has not gone under any jersey design changes in the last 7 seasons. Their jersey has been same from 2008, the only team to do so.

IPL 8: Match 22 - Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru

This match was indeed remarkable.
It featured the oldest Indian player as well as the youngest Indian player of IPL 8, for the first time against each other.

Pravin Tambe (43 yrs 198 days old) and espncricinfo.comSarfaraz Khan (17 yrs 179 days old) have an age difference of a whopping 26 years!
More interestingly, the average age of RR's stand in captain Steven Smith and RCB captain Virat Kohli also turns out to be 26 years!

And coincidentally, all this happened on cricketing God Sachin's birthday!
