 RISING STARS OF IPL 8

In this blog which speaks about IPL 8, i would like to speak about the youngsters who had a brilliant IPL season with some tremendous batting as well as  bowling performance.Some of the youngsters include names such as 

1. Anureet Singh  (KX1P)

    Anureet Singh is a name that we might have never heard few  years back, before IPL has started. Anureet

    Singh is a player who was born on March 2,1988 and he plays for the Kings X1 Punjab. This youngster 

    has proved his worth for the team as well as the captain with some of his brilliant performances. The 

    youngster has grabbed his opportunity with both hands, and has never let down his team. He is one of the 

    top and leading wicket taker for the Kings X1 Punjab, one of the strong bowling pillars of his team. 

    Mitchell Johnson who is a teammate also gave him tips on how to increse his speed. Although his team 

    did not qualify in this years edition of the IPL Anureet Singh has won the hearts of not only all the Punjabis

    but of all Indians.

2.  Axar Patel (KX1P)

     Axar Patel who plays for the Kings X1 Punjab, has surprised a quite alot of people with his outstanding 

     performance with the bowl. He has also won hearts of million of people across India. Axar Patel became 

     part of the IPL when he was signed by the Mumbai Indians in the year 2013 however his journey with the

     Mumbai Indians did not start off very well as he spent the most of his time on the bench.Later on in the 

     year 2014 he was selected by the Kings X1 Punjab where in he started getting the regular starts and his 

     performance also was really up to the mark as a result of which he was selected by the Indian team due 

     to his brilliant performance in the IPL. This young lad is even compared to Indian all rounder Sir Ravindra

     Jadeja for his performance.

3.  Deepak Hooda (RR)

     Deepak Hooda another Indian youngster has also proved his worthiness to the Rajasthan Royals. He is 

     a great asset to the team with some of his beautiful batting displays. Last year Deepak Hooda was a part 

     of the Indian U-19 world cup squad.In the 6th match of the IPL this year against the Delhi Daredevils,

     Hooda played a terrific role helping his team to chase down the massive total posted by the Delhi 

     Daredevils on the scoreboard and thus leading his team to the finishing line. Hooda who is already getting

     famous as the Indian 'Maxwell' for his powerful and accurate shots.He believes that success comes with 

     accuracy whether its any department that is bat or bowl.

4.  Hardik Pandya (MI)

     A unique and a fearless all-rounder, Hardik Pandya is yet another gem to the Indian cricket league.The 

     promising youngster who plays for the Mumbai Indians has stunned quite a lot of people across Indian, 

     with his mind  blowing performance. He has the ability of striking the bowl very  hard and clearing the 

     ropes with ease. He started getting recognised for his brilliant knock against the Kolkata Knight Riders

     slamming 61 runs off just 30 balls and leading his team to victory. Pandya is known as the 'Hurricane' 

     for his most destructive innings,against any giant team or bowling attack. He is a man for the future 

     and constantly improving his chances into the future Indian squad. He is one of the most searched player

     this year.

5.  Sarfaraz Khan

     The youngest player in the IPL history,the story of Indian U-19 prodigy Sarfaraz Khan. In his IPL debut

     he made an unbeaten 45 off just 21 balls against the Rajasthan Royals. The young lad is also a quite 

     fascinating player with a wide range of shots, he played a brilliant knock against the Rajasthan Royals 

     when the batting order had collapsed he helped his team to post a score of 200 however rains did play 

     a spoilsport in the match as a result of which he started to get regular starts of his team. He won the 

     hearts of many Royal Challengers Fans with his brilliant batting performance the only thing he has to work

     on is his fitness level, and he also has the ability to make any bowler sweat around the world with his 

     batting display. Sarfaraz's hunger for runs has always set him apart from other players from this league.

In this years edition of the IPL season 8 bowlers faced a very hard time bowling deliveries as they were hit all over the park by the mighty batsman ,however their were few bowlers who bowled really very well which includes 

1] DWAYNE BRAVO - Highest Wicket Taker [ Purple Cap ]

    Dwayne Bravo brings the Caribbean swagger in the Chennai Super Kings camp.His batting       performance as well as his bowling performance makes him a good and a worthy all- 

    rounder and he is considered as an asset to any team.  In this years edition of the IPL Bravo 

    bagged the purple cap as he became the player to take the most wickets in the tournament

    he altogether took 26 wickets from 17 matches he played , and as a result of which he 

    ensured that his team made it to the playoffs, however later on loosing to the Mumbai Indians.

 2] ASHISH NEHRA  - Best Bowling Figures 

     

     Ashish Nehra another member of the Chennai Super Kings bagged an award for bowling 

     the best bowling figures in the tournament which is very difficult for the bowler to get 

     nowadays because the modern format is more of a batsmans game. He took 4 wickets 

     by leaking only 10 runs. Ashish Nehras form has been plagued by injuries however  in 

     this season he was in very good form maintaining a good length and line and working out 

     on his pace. 

 3]  MOISES HENRIQUES - Best Averages 

      A talented all-rounder who has made a mark in the Australian T20 has also made a huge 

      mark in the Indian Premier League. In the auction held this year he was bought by the 

      Sunrisers Hyderabad and he turned out to be a worthy all-rounder as he played some 

      great knocks, and he also was quite good with the ball. In this years edition of the IPL he 

      holds a record for maintaining the best average in the tournament which is of 14.36.

 4]  JAYANT YADAV - Best Economy Rates 

      A young multi-talented player who was bought by the Delhi Daredevils in this years auction 

      has surprised quite alot of people with his performance with the bowl. He is quite a 

      clinical off -spinner who has the ability of picking wickets at quick intervals. However in this 

      years edition of the IPL he holds the record for bowling the overs with  best economy rates 

      in the tournament. Although his franchise did not make it to the play - offs i am sure he will

      be an asset for the team in the next years IPL.

In this edition of the IPL season 8 there were quite a lot of surprises with some of the brilliant performances by the players. Some of these performances included names like ,

1] DAVID WARNER - Highest Run Scorer [ Orange Cap ] 

    David Warner the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad bagged the prestigious orange cap of     IPL 2015 as he became the highest run scorer of IPL 8 despite his team not making it to the       playoffs. The aggressive left handed batsmen played some mind blowing knocks which was       amazing to watch .He scored 562 runs in 14 innings on a consistent basis thus making him 

    a worthy winner of the orange cap.

 2] CHRIS GAYLE - Maximum Sixes

     Chris Gayle bagged an award in the IPL season 8 for hitting the maximum sixes in  

      tournament as compared to another player. He has hit a maximum of 38 sixes in the                     tournament.The big man from the Caribbean was at his best and he has single - handedly           won matches for his franchise that is the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The man from the           West Indies is also a good catcher and a handy off-spinner which is a very good asset                 to any team he plays.

  3] AB de VILLIERS - Highest Individual Score

      Another man from the Royal Challengers Bangalore  who was really fun watching was the             South African captain AB de Villers. A delightfully brutual batsman who was in a very good          form from the start of the season and who played a very good hand in helping the Royal             Challengers Bangalore qualify for the playoffs won the award for scoring the highest                      individual score in the IPL which was a score of 159 from 59 deliveries against the Mumbai        Indians.

   4] ANDRE RUSSEL- Highest Strike Rate

       Andre Russel become another cricketer from the Caribbean to win an award for maintain a        a good and  a healthy strike rate of 192.89.His performances with the bat was really 

       really amazing to watch the way he would strike the ball.He was also a valuable asset to the 

       Kolkata Knight Riders team although his team did not make it to the playoffs, but he was 

       fun to watch.

• Deepak Hooda has made loss of around 2.5 lakh rupees to his own team RR. 44 kookaburra balls were lost during IPL practice by him.

• Sarfaraz Khan was 10 years old and was in his 4th standard when ‪IPL‬ began. Now (29/04/2015) he's playing for ‪RCB‬ alongside Gayle, ABD, Kohli etc

This match was indeed remarkable.

It featured the oldest Indian player as well as the youngest Indian player of IPL 8, for the first time against each other.

Pravin Tambe (43 yrs 198 days old) and espncricinfo.comSarfaraz Khan (17 yrs 179 days old) have an age difference of a whopping 26 years!

More interestingly, the average age of RR's stand in captain Steven Smith and RCB captain Virat Kohli also turns out to be 26 years!

And coincidentally, all this happened on cricketing God Sachin's birthday!

THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER OF IPL 8!!!

Over the past few years, few sides can compete with West Indies for the alarming rate at which they have chopped and changed their sides. Youngsters have been blooded in with gay abandon but either inexperience or lack of opportunities has resulted in them being unsuccessful at the international stage.

A fast bowling all-rounder, Andre Russell was one of the few new faces in a revamped West Indies squad for the 2010 Test tour to Sri Lanka. The Jamaican who impressed for West Indies A with both bat and ball on their 2010 England tour followed it up with a fine domestic tournament in the Caribbean which earned him a call-up to the national side.

A pacer who believes in bowling in the right areas rather than striving for pace, Russell’s hard hitting abilities combined with his electrifying fielding make him a fine prospect. He showed that with a brilliant batting display against England in a league game during the ICC CWC 2011, nearly taking the Windies home.

In this blog i would like to speak about Mumbai Indians ,the second time winning champions of the season IPL 8. The team consisting of the Indian greats such as Sachin Tendulkar,Anil Kumble,Robin Singh and so on and so forth ,and also consisting of great players like the former Australian captain Ricky Ponting who was the coach of the team then not forgetting the New -Zealander Shane Bond the bowling coach and the fielding coach from South Africa Jonty Rhodes .

The Mumbai Indians are a franchise representing the city of Mumbai in the Indian Premier League.The team is owned by Reliance Industries and the home ground of this team is Wankhede Stadium Mumbai and is currently captained by Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma is also the leading run scorer of the team and along side Lasith Malinga who is the leading wicket taker of the team.Mumbai Indians led by skipper Rohit Sharma won their second IPL title defeating the Chennai Super Kings on 24th May 2015 by 41 runs in the final. 

In this years edition of the IPL Mumbai Indians lost their starting four encounters ,without any points on the board lying at the bottom of the table at this period nothing was working out for them ,however things did change very quick for them as they won back to back 7 matches  in a row with the help of match wining performances by Kieron Pollard,Rohit Sharma,Lasith Malinga and so on  with this Mumbai Indians reached the play-off stage and in the first qualifier played at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai they won the match by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 25 runs and they booked their place in the finals of the IPL .Finally in the finals of the IPL their fate would had to be decided again as they had locked horns with the Chennai Super Kings  again, but Mumbai Indians yet again defeated the Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs at the Edens Gardens Kolkata thus emerging the champions for the second time. 

In this season Mumbai Indians had retained the services of Lasith Malinga,Rohit Sharma,Kieron Pollard,Ambati Rayudu and so on and so forth and they also released some players from their dugout with the likes of Stuart Binny,Mike Hussey,Praveen Kumar. The motto of the team is "Duniya Hila Denge Hum "which means "We Will Rock The World".The team logo is a Razor as initially the name of the team was supposed to be "Mumabi Razor " before Sachin Tendulkar suggested to keep it Mumbai Indians.Whenever their is a match to be played at the Wankhede Stadium Mumbai the fans come out in large numbers supporting their team wearing the blue jersey and i hope to see Mumbai Indians continue their wining streak forward and wining many trophies in the years to come.

In the blog i would like to speak about Rajasthan Royals the team which is performing quite consistent every year ,the spending of the team is quite less in terms of cash the team is hugely dependent on the services of the  young super guns or you can say the youngsters who are performing very well in each and every season of the IPL season held so far.The Rajasthan Royals is a cricket franchise representing the city of Jaipur in the Indian Premier League. The mentor of this team is Rahul Dravid who is considered as the wall of the Indian cricket and is currently captained by Steven Smith the Aussie star.The team anthem is "Halla Bol" which has become quite popular over the years and  the teams mascot is the lion named Moochu Singh.

Rajasthan Royals is a kind of franchise which is completely different and unique in its own ways.It has a history of purchasing non-flashy ,unknown and uncapped Indian and International players who later on end up becoming international  stars partly because of their performance in the IPL .This team has also surprised alot of the bigger teams with a huge finance by their stunning performances on the field. Rajasthan Royals has also won the inaugral edition of the IPL under the captaincy of Shane Warne the former leg spinner of Australia and they have also been the runners up of the champions trophy  under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid.

In this years editiion of the IPL the Rajasthan Royals won their first 5 matches with quite ease and were sitting at the top at the table however, things did not remain the same for them as they ended up on the loosing side for the remaining 5 matches and out of which 1 game of theirs was abandoned due to rain, as a result of which they were under tremendous pressure to qualify for the playoffs but they held on to their nerves and performances by stars such as Shane Watson and James Faulkner ensured that their team reached the play-offs. Inspite of Rajasthan Royals reaching the play-offs stage they were knocked out of the tournament  by the team from  Bangalore in the eliminator, yet so close but still far. This was an end of another season for them.

In this edition of the IPL Rajasthan Royals retained the services of Shane Watson,James Faulkner,Tim Southee and so on and so forth and the Indian players included the likes of Stuart Binny,Ajinkya Rahane,Dhawal Kulkarni. The spending of this team is quite less as they want to purchase uncapped players and give them an opportunity of making a name of themselves. I really like the work of the Royals and hope they will carry on the same in the future i wish them the very best of luck in the years to come.

This season of IPL had some bad moments which nobody had expected would happen however things did turn bad to some of the most talented batsman which includes the likes of Yuvraj Singh known as YUVI .
The stylish left handed batsman did not have a good IPL season averaging only 124 runs in 7 matches .

The man who played a tremendous role in helping India lifting up the ICC Cricket  World Cup and who also had hitten 6 Sixes in a row in the 2007 T20 World Cup against England was the biggest talking point of the tournament ,as he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils Franchise for a sum of Rs 16Crores in this season of the IPL . The amount paid to get him was even more than the amount which was for lifting up the cup by a team which means that Yuvraj only scored 124runs in 7matches so far ,which means that the cost of 1run scored by him was worth Rs 12lakhs.

2. DINESH KARTHIK 

The next flop of the tournament was Dinesh Karthik who was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore Franchise for a sum of Rs 10.5 crores which was not at all worth for such a player of his caliber .The wicket keeper batsman only managed to score 70runs from as many as 7 matches played so far according to this his 1run is equal to Rs 15lakhs.

3.Glenn Maxwell 

Glenn Maxwell totally flopped in this years edition of the IPL managing to score only 62runs from 5matches he played .In the previous season of the IPL Maxwell played a huge role in helping his franchise that is the Kings X1 Punjab reach the finals of the IPL only loosing to KKR in the finals . The same was expected from him in this season of the IPL but it was not delivered as a result of which the Kings X1 Punjab were lying down at the bottom of the table with only 6points from as many as 14matches they played which was  not expected from them at all . According to all this 1 run scored by Maxwell is equal to 10 Lakhs.

4.Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag who is very well known for his aggressive batting style and creating a havoc at the opposition, turned out to be a flop at this years edition of the IPL managing only 96runs from 7matches played so far .The player also holds multiple records including the highest score made by an Indian in a Test cricket . He is also nicknamed as Viru .However in this edition of the IPL he turned out to be a flop  managing to score very less runs ,however his 1run is equal to 3.5Lakhs .

5.Murali Vijay 

Another upset of the tournament was the likes of Muralli Vijay who is said to be a consistent player in this format turned out to be a flop of the tournamet ,managing to score only 158runs in 7matches .The  opening batsman who had played a great role in helping India win the Champions Trophy was not at his level best which means that 1run scored by him is equal to 2lakh rupees.

In my opinion Chennai Super Kings are the most successful team in IPL, and have won the title twice in succession (2010 and 2011). In year 2010 they also won the champions league Twenty20 for the first time and repeated the feat in 2014. the brand value of the team in 2012 was estimated US$75.13 million, making them the most valuable franchise in the IPL.



This team has the most number of fans world wide and has a high number of twitter following compared to other teams due to their consistent form. CSK is the only team which makes into the finals of IPL every year.


CSK has the best batting line up as well as best bowling which takes the team to a level where it helps to strike wickets at right time and take the match into there hands. The leading wicket taker of this IPL was Dwane bravo from CSK with the purple cap by taking 25 wickets. 
CSK is just not a team it has become a brand in IPL. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad

In this blog of IPL -India ka Tyohaar , i would like to speak about the team of Hyderabad which plays in the IPL known as Sunrisers Hyderabad .The team is owned by Kalanithi Maran and the head coach of the team is Tom Moody wheras the bowling coach of the team is Muttiah Muralitharan and the Indian greats like the VVS Laxman ,Krish Srikkanth are the mentors of the team .

These franchise was first known as the Deccan Chargers when the innaugral edition of the IPL was started but later in the year 2013 it was replaced by Sunrisers Hyderabad .For this season of 2015 the Sunrisers Hyderabad retained the services of Shikhar Dhawan ,David Warner ,Dale Steyn ,Ishant Sharma ,Karn Sharma and they also strengthened their team by adding the likes of Trent Boult ,Eoin Morgan,Ravi Bopara .In this season of the IPL David Warner was appointed as the Captain of the team who also emerged as the highest run getter in this season of the IPL winning the orange cap.

       





The home ground of the Sunrisers Hyderabad was known as the Visaka International Cricket Stadium Ground and the fans of the SRH would come out  in large numbers supporting the team and their fans were called as the Orange fan army.However Sunrisers Hyderabad never gave their fans something to cheer about as they failed to reach the playoffs stages in the last three outings of the IPL ,

In the upcoming seasons of the IPL i would like to see the team lifting up the trophy by playing to their potential level ,and giving their fans something to cheer about who come in large numbers supporting them and i wish the team the very best of luck in the coming seasons of the IPL .
